Needlework can be finicky to frame, but the results are well worth the effort. The grid-like nature of the fabric and stitching leaves little to no grace when it comes to stretching and centering for your needlework frame. Also, you may sometimes have to go to great lengths to properly clean and gently iron your needlework piece.
Something commonly overlooked is the needlework frame capacity. Be sure to choose a picture frame that can accommodate all the materials to go into framing your needlework. The mounting material will generally be thicker than average, so make sure that plenty of room is left for the photo mounting materials, and also for the glass, mats, and backing.
